Detailed description:
It is essential that we continuously build on our understanding of the different needs of the people who live in, work in and visit our town, and respond flexibly to meet these needs. We will continue to develop and improve the service we provide to the local community of Croydon.
Citizen focussed policing is about putting what the public want from our police in Croydon at the heart of what the Metropolitan Police does. Over recent years the number of police officers serving the local communities of Croydon has continued to increase. We now have a dedicated Safer Neighbourhood team in each of our 25 wards dealing with local issues, and tackling anti social behaviour that affects quality of life.
We will continue to provide reassurance to, and work in partnership with the local authority to create a Safer Croydon, whilst reducing crime and the fear of crime in Croydon for those who live, work or visit the Borough.
