Crosslands Farm is a typical 17th century Lakeland farmhouse set in the unspoilt Rusland Valley between Coniston Water and Windermere. Close to Grizedale Forest and Hawkshead within the lake district and the Furness Peninsula.

Detailed description:

Crosslands Farm was built in 1645. With an extension built on in the early 1700s. The dining room is the oldest part of the house which has been converted from an old dairy where the original beams, cooling slabs and ham hooks can still be seen. There are local slate flag floors throughout the B&B and the guest lounge has low beams and an ingle nook fire place.

Anne and David moved to the farm with their children in 1994 when David's family bought it from Anne's family when they retired. Anne's family has lived in the valley for generations. Her Grandfather was a sheperd for Beatrix Potter when she was a young women at Troutbeck Park Farm near Windermere.

David is from the old county of Westmorland and together they have extensive knowledge of the area.
