Detailed description:
Prior to October 2008, there were four different organisations providing mental health servics in Walsall and Dudley. These were Dudley Primary Care Trust, Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust and Walsall and Dudley Local Authorities' Directorates of Adult Social Care. Each of these organisations managed mental health services alongisde other kinds of services and, although these organisation were quite large, with the mental health part of their work being small relative to other mental health organisations elsewhere in the country.
