Our school provides 21st Century educational provision for all our children, with many ground breaking new technologies incorporated into the building, from state of the art computer facilities, to rainwater recycling and the use of solar energy.
The building however is only one part of the story. A school is not a school without the people who work in it - the staff, the governors, the parents, and of course most importantly, the children.
We aim to educate the 'whole' child. This means developing a warm, happy and friendly environment, where each child can work towards maximising their potential in personal, social and academic enterprise. We create an atmosphere where all our children are valued and value each other.
Our school offers a great adventure for all, an exciting opportunity to follow an educational journey that will help develop the potential of each and every one of our children.
Detailed description:
The school opened in September 2002 serving the Hinchingbrooke Park area of Huntingdon.
The building is designed as a single form entry primary school. This means that we have seven
classrooms, an adjoining corridor and resource area, a well-equipped assembly hall with kitchen, and a community room. Each pair of classrooms has a cloakroom area with toilets. Our Reception
Class has its own cloakroom facility. Outside there is a large playground and playing field with
trim trail and willow dome. There is also a secure outdoor play area for our Reception and Year 1
children.
Parents are very welcome in school. We hold regular parent consultations and open evenings
during the year where you can come and find out how your child is progressing. We also hold
special days where Mums and Dads are invited into school to spend time with their children.
However, if you have any concerns outside these times about your child then please contact us.
It helps if an appointment can be made but we understand that sometimes this is not possible.
We are also more than pleased to welcome adults into school to help in various ways during the
school day and with trips out. Please let us know if you would be interested in helping.
