Detailed description:
Formed in 1995 as a boat building partnership of Simon Read and Roy Lawson after the demise of the Steam and Electric Launch Company and ex-employees of this Company they felt they could use their skills and knowledge of electric craft to make a success of their own business. Simon served an apprenticeship in boat building, originally building sea going long keeled yachts. He obtained the Landamores Shield for Apprentice of the Year at the Anglia Marine Group Training Association. Further training was obtained in boat restoration and new wooden boat building on a variety of craft including racing dinghies, yachts, launches and even racing power boats.
