The firm was established in 1976 by W A Crawford who was formerly a partner in the international firm of accountants, Deloitte Haskins and Sells. He was joined at that time by J M Sedgwick who had qualified and trained with Deloitte Haskins and Sells and had held the post of Audit Manager.
Detailed description:
We have approximately fifteen technical and administrative staff of various grades and we are committed to the training of new chartered accountants. We draw our graduate intake from Queen's University, Belfast and the University of Ulster at Jordanstown. Crawford Sedgwick & Co specialise in accounting for Housing Associations and through our close involvement we currently audit approximately 50% of the registered housing associations in Northern Ireland. Our large client base and constant involvement with the movement enables us to keep abreast of changing legislation and we are in regular contact with the housing branch of the DOE on detailed queries and policy matters.
