We are the largest fishing tackle and country clothing specialists in Bedford, having been in our present location in British Waterways Priory Marina for 12 years. We have 40 years experience of the trade.The A B in our title refers to Alan Brown, the well known rod builder responsible for many of the original glass and carbon carp rod designs still being copied to this day. Indeed, the first rods bearing the name Kevin Nash and Rod Hutchinson came from our original Hitchin base.

Today, we try to cater for all aspects of fishing, and carry a large range of stock from all the leading suppliers and also pride ourselves in prompt supply of any items out of stock. We are open 7 days a week (including bank holidays) carry fresh bait, casters, deadbaits and a vast range of groundbaits and boilies. Free easy parking right in front of our doors. See us also at many game fairs, county and agricultural shows around the country retailing our range of outdoor clothing and Australian leather hats, including the CLA Game fair every July. Here at A B Countrysports we stock a massive range of bait from top quality brands such as Mainline, Dynamite Baits, Nash Baits, Ringers, Sonubaits, Bait Tech, Bait Zone and Berkley Gulp Carp.
If its carp fishing you are into we have ranges from Shimano, Korda, ESP, Fox, JRC, Delkim, Nash, Wchwood and Chub. There's more including Trakker, Greys, Reuben Heaton, Prologic, Avid Carp, Enterprise Tackle, Okuma and Gardner. For the match and pleasure angler we have pole tackle, seat box accessories and luggage from big names including Preston Innovations, Drennan, Middy and Leeda. Predator anglers are spoilt for choice with a wide range of lures and spinners from Storm, Berkley and 30 Plus.
For trace making, floats, snap tackles and all other predator tackle we stock Fox Predator, 30 PLUS, Drennan, E-SOX and the Korum Snapper range. Our clothing selection includes Jack Pyke and Sherwood Forest with footwear from Muckboot, Skee-tex and Prologic.
