COUNDON PRIMARY SCHOOL

The school offers the full national curriculm and also modern languages in Key Stage 2. A wide range of extra curricular activities are on offer over the year that enrich the school.

A full wrap around service is also on offer with all day nursery care and holiday club provision. Pupils in years 4 and 6 are offered a residential experience to enhance their learning. A full programme of educational visits are organised with all year groups utilising the LA partnership centres.

Pupils are encouraged to be responsible from an early age from taking the register to the office to becoming a member of the school council. Year 6 pupils undertake many jobs of responsibility for the school. A full Eco representative group of pupils is also evident.

The playgrounds all have friendship benches and we offer many opportunities for family groups in houses at sports days and other events. We offer several opportunities for inter school competition through the area sports co-ordination schemes. We have reached many city championship finals in Rugby, Athletics, Cross-country, Swimming, Netball and multi skill sports.

In the past we have fostered links with Malaysian schools and we are seeking new links to date
