The Cottage Delight name was created by Nigel Cope 36 years ago, to market a unique recipe tablet fudge, made in the family kitchen and sold to small independent shops in Staffordshire and Derbyshire.
Detailed description:
As demand increased for traditional, home made tasting products, a range of jams, marmalades, chutneys and pickles was gradually developed. These and more, are still made by us, in the Staffordshire Moorlands, by hand in small batches and without artificial colours.
A Cottage Delight “taste panel” regularly sits to ensure the quality is as good today as when the company was originally founded. Our consistent devotion to taste and quality has been recognised, to date, by 104 Great Taste Awards. The recipients of these prestigious food “Oscars” are decided by an independent panel of culinary experts who blind – taste numerous categories of foodstuffs on behalf of the Guild of Fine Food Retailers.
