COSGROVES

In the 1970’s Cos moved to Rimington, a few doors down from a working garage. When part of the premises became vacant, Cos moved his stockroom from Skipton to Rimington, surrounded by an established haulage, taxi and garage business. As the garage closed, the stock room became a shop and expanded into the vacant space where he introduced a selection of ladies wear. In 1990, the business expanded further with the acquisition of an existing menswear business in Whalley.

The premises have been expanded over the years to house one of the widest selections of menswear fashions in the Northwest. Over the years, the condition of the garage in Rimington deteriorated and when the roof began to leak, drastic measures needed to be taken. The premises at the front were demolished whilst the business continued to trade at the rear….by no means an easy task.

Regular customers remained loyal and supportive and in December 2004, a brand new luxury ladies store was opened. We now offer a complete lifestyle wardrobe from casuals through to evening wear with a wonderful array of wedding and special occasion outfits.
