Detailed description:
Enrichment activities are very important to us at Cordwalles and include a variety of day and residential trips, clubs, visitors to the school and events throughout the year.
Clubs are run at various times through the year and include laptops, cheerleading, cooking, sewing, art, drama. Sports clubs are also run and include football, netball and rounders.
There are a variety of sports opportunities available to children. These include representing the school in football, netball, cross-country, rounders and athletic. Each year we also hold a sports week where children are introduced to, and develop a wide range of sporting skills.
All children have the opportunity to take part in a residential trip in each of their years at Cordwalles. In Year 3&4 children go to stay on HMS Belfast and to a Castle [on alternate years], Year 5 visit Springhead Trust in Dorset and Year 6 go to Osmington Bay.
Recently over 40 children from our school performed at the O2 Arena as part of a choir of 8000 children. It was a fantastic experience for all involved.
