Short profile:

The aim of this website is to promote the Dudley No.2 canal; a part of the network of canals forming the Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN), to inform visitors of the boatyard facilities available to use at Hawne Basin and to provide a communication channel for our members.

Hawne Basin was an interchange basin for the Great Western Railway and was used for the transhipment of tubes from the Coombeswood works of Stewarts & Lloyds/BSC until the railway closed in 1967. The basin is located at the end of navigation Dudley No2 Canal, Birmingham Canal Navigation (BCN).
