Short profile:

Comptons is an innovative, driven and well established firm of solicitors conveniently situated within the nucleus of estate agents found near Regent's Park in north west London. Originally established as a partnership in 1987, Comptons has traded as a limited liability partnership under the name Comptons Solicitors LLP since 1st May 2010. We have established a commanding reputation in all areas of property law including: Residential house/flat sales & purchases, Residential lease extensions, Residential freehold purchases, Dispute resolution between landlords and tenants, Commercial property purchases & sales and lease renewals.

Detailed description:

Formed by Stephen Compton in May 1987 to deal almost exclusively with property investment, development and dealing companies. In 1989 Nicholas Goldreich joined the firm and since then we have developed a substantial property, commercial and general litigation following. The firm has continued to expand and now employs seven fee earners and some nine support staff dealing with most types of commercial and private client work (other than matrimonial or criminal work.) We are members of The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. We are listed on the website of The Leasehold Advisory Service due to our expertise in this field. Indeed we have been asked on numerous occasions to contribute towards articles on this subject published in The Times, Sunday Telegraph, Evening Standard and The Independent Newspapers. Due to our work with the licensing trade we are occasional advisers to a local L .V. A. on matters arising from licensing and Public House leases. In recent years we have been involved in a number of high profile cases which have been reported not only in the legal press but also in The Times Law Reports including successful appeals in the Court of Appeal and House of Lords. We also act for major lending institutions carrying out a wide variety of work.
