Mot tests are an annual requirement for cars and light commercial vans over 3 years old. Here at Colchester Tyre & Exhaust Centre we offer MOT testing for both Class 4 (most cars and light vans) and Class 7 (larger vehicles up to 3500kg). We have 2 fully equipped MOT bays offering MOT tests for both petrol and diesel engines.In line with the requirements of VOSA (Vehicle an Operator Services Agency) our equipment is fully maintained and calibrated to ensure accurate measurement of the vehicles emissions and braking efficiency. Using Colchester Tyre and Exhaust for your car or van’s service you can be assured that we perform to a strict code of conduct and will always have your best interests at heart. We carry out all services to the highest standard and, if your vehicle is still within a warranty, genuine parts can be used without invalidating warranty conditions.

We can provide our own Full Menu Service, an Intermediate Service or follow the Recommended Service Schedule provided in your vehicle handbook. We can supply and fit part and complete exhaust systems with a minimum of 1 year’s warranty. We can also supply and fit catalytic converters. It is advisable to have your exhaust checked every 10, 000 km (6250 miles) or at least once a year for damage or failure.

We have a wide range of batteries available that we supply and fit. Shock absorbers, steering & suspension: These parts are essential to the safety vehicle, if they start to fail not only can they impair the car's performance and handling but they may lead to your vehicle failing the MOT test.
