Short profile:

When you first attend, we will take a thorough history of your problem and treatment record, as well as your medical status. Many foot problems stem from health issues, so it would be useful if you could bring a list of your medication with you. We may also wish to to see you standing or walking, so wearing a pair of shorts or a skirt is preferable.

If you are having specific problems with some shoes, it would be would naturally be useful if again, you brought these along with you. Your first appointment will also, in most cases, not only involve advising you, but also the treatment of your problem.

You can expect to be here about half an hour or so, and it may be advocated, at the Podiatrist's discretion, that you attend again in a specified period of time. Surgery Hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 6.00pm Thursday evening 6.30pm - 9.30pm Saturday morning 9.00am - 1.30pm .

Detailed description:

Most treatments involve the surgical removal of a painful problem, such as corns and callous. We can also treat toenail conditions, veruccas and other complaints such as heel or arch pain. All our treatments are delivered using sterile instruments, in a clean and professional clinical setting. Time will be taken to address all your foot health issues, and advice given if inappropriate footwear is causing your problem. Some of the treatments we can offer are: Cryosurgery - for warts and verrucae.

Orthoses and Insoles - for heel and arch pain, or for recurrent ball of the foot problems. Biomechanical Assessments - for the diagnosis of walking problems or gait imbalances. Therapeutic Ultrasound - for deep seated arch or heel pain. Diabetic Foot Assessments - to check your foot health if you are a known diabetic.

Pathology Tests - for the analysis and determination of suspected fungal infections. Surgery - for the removal, under local anaesthetic, of painful ingrowing toenails. Laser Therapy - for the relief of foot pain, and as an aid in the treatment of verrucae.
