Short profile:
The range of activities open to our students is good. Y7 students visit an activity centre for a week while Y8 attend camp in the Forest of Dean. Y9 students go to Wales for an outward-bound course. This year we have had student trips to Italy, Greece and Holland.
We hold an annual Activities Day, which gives students many different opportunities such as bowling, paintballing or visiting a theme park. Y8 experience an environmental day and Y9 take part in an enterprise day.Clubs are run for most sports and there are Art and French clubs. One of our aims is to increase the number of students who are willing to remain behind at the end of school to participate in extra-curricular activities.
Humanities and science departments run field trips to enhance the students' experiece in their subjects.
