The journey so far... After starting as a Saturday girl at a well known city centre salon, Derby at just 14 years old Creative Director Hayley Hudson always wanted to open her own salon. After completing her training with well known Derby stylist Tony Bull, Hayley worked in salons both in and out of town building and developing her talent and experience in hairdressing and management. At just 19 Hayley became a bridal hair specialist and featured regularly in Derbyshire today magazine and travelled the midlands styling brides on their special day. Hayley has a great passion and enthusiasm for hair and even while taking a gap in her career to spend winter in the Austrian alps she still found herself styling hotel guests and ski instructors hair. On her return she was chosen to work for up and coming celebrity stylist Nicky Lazou queen of balayage and pioneer of the amazing Hollywood blow-dry.
Nicky has gone on to style red carpet events, TOWIE star Lucy Meck and Danielle Lloyds hair for magazine shoots and has featured in Vogue. During her time with Nicky she mastered her incredible blow-dry technique and learnt the importance of keeping hairs natural beauty and integrity with the condition at the very forefront of the service. Hayley continues to add to her skills and has recently returned from London where she trained with Jack Howard international hair colourist, Balayage expert and educator. Jack is the king of French free hand highlighting technique balayage and styles many of the rich and famous including Molly from the Saturdays and Poppy Delevigne on the cover of Vogue Magazine.
Hayley visited him at the Knightsbridge Neville Salon on Pont Street and did extensive training in the beautiful Balayage technique. In 2009 Hayley discovered the site on Peel Street Derby and chose this to be her flagship salon, tucked away off Ashbourne Road / Friargate it was the perfect place.
