Short profile:

Ten years experience, using structural and craniosacral techniques, has enabled me to provide effective treatment for people of all ages with a variety of conditions, from a newborn dealing with a difficult birth, adults with sports injuries and back pain, to a senior with arthritis.

I qualified through the renowned British School of Osteopathy, London and am registered with the GOsC, the governing body.

Recognised by BUPA, AXA PPP and all major insurance companies.

Detailed description:

Not just backs; osteopathy is an effective system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Physical manipulation, stretching and massage techniques will increase the mobility of joints, relieve muscular tension, enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and help a person’s own healing mechanisms. Advice can also be given on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring; restoring your body to a state of balance. Craniosacral Osteopathy is a gentle yet effective approach and may be used in a wide range of conditions in people of all ages, from birth to old age. Osteopathy treats the cause as well as the symptoms. During birth, the body is subjected to enormous forces as it is pushed along the birth canal. The baby has to turn and twist as it squeezes through the bony pelvis.

During a normal labour the baby’s head is able to absorb these stresses; after all, it is designed to do so. These stresses and strains are released naturally afterwards. This releasing process is aided by suckling, crying, yawning and feeding.
