GE Jenbacher Gas Engines
GE Jenbacher gas engines are a high efficiency, robust generator which is specifically designed to run on a variety of gaseous fuels including: Natural gas, biogas, landfill gas, synthetic gas, coal mine & coal seam methane, associated petroleum gas and sewage.
Detailed description:
Clarke Energy provides full turnkey solutions for GE Jenbacher gas engines. Clarke Energy is a market leader in the design, engineering, project management and commissioning of CHP schemes. GE Jenbacher gas engines are used in a range of applications including: The utilisation of natural gas for the provision of electricity and heat for embedded generation schemes. For schemes featuring tri-generation this can be extended to the provision of cooling via absorption chillers and in quad generation the recovery of CO2 from the exhaust gas. Landfill gas is a potent source of greenhouse gas emissions. If captured landfill gas can be used to generate electricity whilst in parallel reducing these emissions. The GE Jenbacher gas engine is robust in its performance when faces with this aggressive gas.
In the UK the GE Jenbacher gas engine is used in >80% of landfill gas generation schemes. Methane associated with coal deposits can be harnessed to generate electricity. Clarke Energy has delivered a number of coal-gas based power schemes in Australia, the UK and in China. Biogas originates from the anaerobic decomposition of organic material. Anaerobic digestion facilities offer significant environmental benefits including the provision of renewable power. Clarke Energy has experience in the provision of generation equipment for food waste, agricultural and effluent based digesters.
Biogas is closely related to sewage and landfill gas. Sewage gas is a readily available source of methane which can be used to generate renewable power. Clarke Energy works with a number of major utility companies for the provision of sewage based generation equipment. Clarke Energy offers a flexible long-term contractual maintenance and overhaul service for GE Jenbacher units. In parallel Clarke Energy can supply authorised new and refurbished parts for the engines. To find out more please contact your local Clarke Energy office.
