Short profile:

Clapton GTC prides itself on the range of activities available to students. Examples of this year's extra-curricular clubs are drama, choir, music, sports, gardening and very many subject-based clubs to support learning.

Trips are plentiful and include Kew Gardens, theatres, museums, art galleries & many subject-based lectures. The school also runs a week-long adventure trip in the UK, Duke of Edinburgh trips & trips abroad.

In addition there are school concerts and school shows.  The school often hosts artists in residence on site.  Holiday schools run at Easter, half-term & during the summer. Revision classes run on Saturday mornings from January to May.

Every student has the opportunity to fully access the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3.  At Key Stage 4 all students study core subjects of English Language and Literature, mathematics, double science and technology.  The Science Faculty teach 21st Century science at Key Stage 4, with separate sciences in the Sixth Form.  Currently 40% of students take languages at Key stage 4.
