Pass this place by and hold on to your wallet and your car.
After taking in my van to fit a new Alternator, these people took over one week to perform this simple task. This meant I had to pay for a train back home to London and a few days later return again, by train obviously, to finally collect my van. But wait, the story isn't over, because only one week later my new alternator went again.
It's my belief, as an ex-mechanic, these conmen simply fitted a faulty alternator and that they did it knowingly. I had to call in my AA cover and again organise a towtruck. Needless to say I had to pay yet again for the train back to London. Five short days later (lucky me, last time they took over a week) they finally announced the completion of this simple task.
I might add that someone went through my glove compartment, which at first they denied but when provided with evidence claimed it was to search for my wheelnut. To this day the whereabouts of my TomTom's memory card is a mystery to me.
In general any telephone conversation with anyone from this garage ended in frustration and the distinct impression that lying, buckpassing and general ignorance is the order of the day.
But all is not lost at Circuit Motor Garage, because In their defense, I have to say they expertly relieved me of my money. To the tune of £937.67 ! After 12 days ! and £120 on train fares ! All because of an alternator.
If anyone requires a more compact assesment of this Establishment, it is this:
If you value your time and money, give these unpleasant conmen a very wide berth.
Glen and Barry, you know who you are.
