Detailed description:

Situated between Buntingford and Stevenage, Church Farm covers 175 acres to the south of Ardeley. Here you will find mixed farming, small fields and intimate diversity of enterprises.The idea is to have a farm that produces maximum variety of food for customers, with 50% less fossil fuels from farm to fork. We want to enhance the environment and build community, to treat the land, wildlife and animals as they should be treated and grow great food.This is a biological and ecological approach to food and farming - a farm that grows food for customers and local people.

We’re open 7 days a week and welcome all local people and visitors to come onto our land, walk the footpaths, see where their food comes from and see how our traditional and rare breed animals live, work and play. You can pick your own produce straight from the field on our Harvest Walks, buy our high welfare meat and eggs and local produce - at prices comparable to supermarkets - in the Farm Store or eat from our seasonal menu in the Farm Café where all of the primary ingredients come from the Farm.

We have a woodland play area, a weekly fruit, veg and meat box scheme, a Rural Care programme for people with learning difficulties, and car mechanic and holistic therapy services. Workshops, courses and events are regularly held at the Farm and we welcome group functions, business meetings, clubs and societies, cyclists, families, campers, walkers and dogs!

    Took my car here after BMW tried to charge huge amounts for a part on my car. At Church Farm I recieved great advice, exceptional service and my faith is restored in mechanics again! Definately will be using this garage again in the future!!‎

    Also have cafe,farm shop,kids animal area. They do tyres, mechanics,servicing,brakes in stevenage,royston,buntingford. You can spend a whole day here visiting the cafe,farm shop, kiddies petting area and have your car serviced by the mechanic at Church Farm Garage, Ardeley, Stevenage. Tim Waygood set up this enterprise.

    Hi,went here to have new tyres fitted, the price was great. But found all the other attractions and ended up staying for ages. The food in the Cafe is Great and your farm shop is excellent. The meat that i bought was so full of flavour and tender and was obviously reared by people that have a real passion for animal welfare. You even have a Vehicle Mechanic for local people and a area for children to interact with the Farm animals. It was truly one of the best days out for me and my family and entry was free,and all from visiting Church Farm Garage to have my tyres done, Thank you .
