Physiotherapy deals with facilitating movement and helps you maximise your potential. It uses various approaches including massage manipulation in order to promote, maintain and restore your ability to move without pain and increase your flexibility. It takes account of your individual health status. Physiotherapists are autonomous professionals, able to act as first contact practitioners, as well as accepting referrals from other health care professionals.

In partnership with you, physiotherapists work to optimise your functional ability and potential. Modern Physiotherapy is all about encouraging the body’s own optimal, natural healing. Extensive knowledge of the body’s anatomy, function and mechanics is the basis of accurate assessment and successful treatment. A full case history will be taken on your first visit; a full evaluation and analysis of the movements will also be carried out in order to assess the problem. Physiotherapists can treat anyone, from small children to adults, for a wide range of physical conditions and varying health problems. Daniel Maxwell, MA, LicAc, MBAcC, has worked at Christchurch Hall Surgery since 2001.

His input into complementing and maximising patients' health care at the surgery continues to be invaluable. He works in close collaboration with the doctors at Christchurch Hall Surgery and accepts referrals from other medical and surgical specialists. As a specialist in Podiatry, I provide treatment and advice on a broad range of foot and lower limb conditions. This ranges from corns and calluses to specialised areas of biomechanics and sporting injuries.
