CHRIS THE GUITAR TUTOR

Chris the Guitar Tutor - I'm a 22 year old guitarist living and teaching in the Bedworth area. I love music, and I love to teach. I am friendly, patient and naturally suited to teaching of any kind. My talent and passion for music enables me to feel 100% confident that I can help any student develop the talent that they don’t even realise they have. Every student is different; they have different strengths and different learning styles, and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of adapting how I teach to suit the student.

From the moment I started playing the guitar I started to pass on my skills to those around me, so when I had developed my talent, and needed to raise money to go to music college, it seemed natural to hire out my skills! Those early students really helped me to develop my teaching skills, and my teaching resources. Since completing the course at college, I have developed an overwhelming passion for teaching, and have invested every waking moment in becoming a better tutor. I am constantly adding to my teaching resources, and to my own skills, and in September 2010 I launched my own teaching website www.christheguitartutor.co.uk to provide online support and resources to all of my students. This means that my students not only get one- on-one tuition, but round the clock support if they need it, buying advice, song transcriptions and other useful tips and hints.

Everyone learns in a different way, so I teach in different ways! I utilise everything I have at my disposal including; detailed resources and visual aids, example tracks, practical exercises, backing tracks, online support, online guitar transcriptions and more! Every new technique is applied to popular songs. My main approach to teaching the guitar is to be excited about music, and to get my students excited ababout music, and to get my students excited about music! Music is fun, expressive, emotive and communal, it’s something to be enjoyed and shared together!
