This area aims to provide advice and information - everything from how to access help if you're suffering from domestic violence or need to report an emergency, to whether you're entitled to benefits or discount on your council tax. We have tried to make sure services which relate to Chorley Borough Council are covered, as well as those provided by other groups. If you are an asylum seeker, refugee or are appealing against an unsuccessful asylum claim, you may be entitled to housing and support. We administer Housing and Council Tax Benefits.

The Chorley Partnership brings together many different groups and individuals to try to improve life for the people of Chorley. We'd like to think residents and business people in Chorley can turn to the Council for help - whatever the circumstances. Councillors and staff at the authority will always try to help or put you in touch with someone who can wherever possible Chorley Borough Council provides local services such as waste and recycling, leisure facilities like All Seasons, Yarrow Valley Country Park and Astley Hall, activities for youngsters through programmes such as the Get Up and Go scheme, planning and regeneration, conservation and building control. We look after streetscene in the area including grounds maintenance activities such as grass cutting and the extensive planting scheme which has scooped North West in Bloom Awards. We also work with other agencies on neighbourhood improvements such as children's play areas, community safety schemes such as alley gates or CCTV, environmental health to regulate food premises and licensing to protect you and your family.
Chorley Borough Council also administers benefits. Chorley fantastic scenery and the environment is very important to people who live here. We are committed to promoting and preserving the environment through the services we offer We're working hard with other organisations in the borough to provide options, choice and a wide range of activities to keep you busy in your spare time. We provide a comprehensive range of environmental health, canine welfare, health and safety and food safety services to people across Chorley - but our commitment doesn't stop there.
We also work closely with older and younger people and other groups in the borough, to ensure people have access to the services and facilities they need to achieve a healthy, balanced lifestyle. We are committed to improving the quality and choice of housing available in the borough
