Short profile:

Chester-le-Street & District Council for Voluntary Service and Volunteer Bureau was established in 1998 to provide the underpinning support that will enable the sustainability and development of voluntary and community organisations who work for the benefit of Chester-le-Street District. The Organisation holds a number of Quality Awards, in particular from NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) and Volunteering England which demonstrates our competence against the core functions of a CVS and Volunteer Bureau.

Detailed description:

The PLP is funded to give advice on public law to all organisations with an LSC Contract or Quality Mark. We welcome calls from advisors or organisations new to the concepts of public law, as well as from more experienced practitioners. The Volunteer Centre provides a comfortable, confidential, no-obligation service to individuals who want to volunteer and to organisations who need volunteers.
