CHERRY ORCHARD BED & BREAKFAST

The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, rambling, nature study, pond dipping, local history and canoeing. In the Forest of dean there is an excellent safe lake, 'Mallard's Pike'.

Cherry Orchard Farm is just a five minute walk from the famous Ostrich Inn in Newland, which is child-friendly and known throughout the realm for its superb food and wide range of real ales (there are usually eight on at any one time), its fine wines and spirits - not to mention Katherine's warm welcome and effusive hospitality!

Newland is the home to the Cathedral of the Forest with its famous miner's brass but also hosting various concerts from time to time of all musical genres.

Our bathroom is large by most standards and positively invites the tired walker to relax and indulge in a luxurious hot, steamy bath or shower after a day exploring our fascinating part of the world.

A great British breakfast awaits those with healthy appetites and vegetarian variations on that theme are catered for with pleasure.

The local pub, the 'Ostrich Inn', is within 5 minutes walking distance. Excellent evening meals are available in addition to a very wide range of beers, malt whiskies and fine wines. There is also the Bell and the Boat at Redbrook and the White Horse at Staunton.

The Boat Inn at Redbrook is only 1.5 miles from the farm. Fine meals and real ales are available in addition to live music on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
