Detailed description:
Provision for extra-curricular activities is a real strength in the school, there are a huge range of activities available for students. The school has a very strong tradition of competitive sport with over 500 competitive fixtures every year. The last Ofsted Report highlighted this as a strength of the school.
In 2005/2006 there were 13 foreign visits, 5 UK residentials, 49 day and 11 evening trips which involved around 4000 students in total. In addition many students are involved in extra-curricular activities in music, drama, art, public speaking and through the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Sports Leader Award.
There are regular concerts throughout the year and drama productions. The school's facilities are available for students at the end of the school day
