  • Ring back scammers

    They sell 070 numbers which, although they appear to be mobile numbers, are actually premium rate numbers.

    Scammers can use these numbers to ring random phones - the owners then wonder who rang and ring back the number, resulting in revenue for the owner of the premium number.

    If you complain to Cheers International they tell you that it is nothing to do with them, even though they make money every time some poor sucker tries to ring back a number they don't recognise.
