Founded in 1995, Centurion is a privately owned Limited Company based in the UK staffed by former British military personnel, the majority being former Royal Marines.
Centurion’s HEFAT course has become the benchmark standard for hostile environment and emergency first aid training worldwide, and is mandatory pre-departure training for most international broadcasters, aid agencies, NGOs and human rights organisations. Centurion also provides training to corporations whose personnel (e.g. reconstruction workers) are required to travel or work in potentially hostile environments.
Centurion designed the HEFAT course for BBC journalists, and is the foremost civilian trainer for anyone working in hostile environments worldwide. We run weekly training courses in the UK, USA and bespoke courses worldwide.
