Short profile:

INFORMATION and ADVICE: relates to all issues affecting Carers, including benefits, breaks, respite and support services, carer assessment procedures, aids and adaptation. EMOTIONAL SUPPORT: one-to-one support on the telephone or during a home visit by a support worker. It provides the opportunity for Carers to talk through their queries and concerns.

Detailed description:

COMMUNITY CONSULTATION: creating a unified voice in the locality to ensure Carers have an impact on decision making. We can have a strong influence on local policy, planning procedures and outcomes. Through us you can get involved with our Focus Group and have your say and input on all of these things. BREAKS and TIME OUT: a chance for Carers to enjoy a bit of "me" time - our Centre offers lots of free things to Carers known to us - pampering/complementary therapies, days out, activities and events. SOCIAL GROUPS: a chance to meet other Carers in your town/area and have a time to socialise with others in a similar situation and enjoy activities and speakers that may be of interest.
