The Centre for Population Health Sciences (CPHS) draws on a long history of public health and general practice at the University of Edinburgh. The Centre brings together researchers with expertise in epidemiology, statistics and modelling, sociology, social policy, psychology, economics, geography, health promotion, nursing and medicine.

Detailed description:

Thus CPHS research projects can take advantage of a multi-disciplinary approach when needed, which is often the case in population health research. The mission of CPHS encompasses four inter-linked activities. Education and Research Training CPHS offers an excellent environment for degree study and research training in public/population health, drawing on a long history of interdisciplinary postgraduate education in public health sciences and primary care.
