Short profile:
Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service covers the local council areas of Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire councils. The activities of CSFRS are stricly governed by statutory requirements with rules and procedures laid down by various authorising bodies.
Ever wondered how a modern fire and rescue service works? From the emergency services we provide to the broad range of community safety and youth intervention work we undertake, we are involved in an ever-growing range of activities. The following section provide information on the Service’s activities, its performance and its management structure.
The Board is made up of Councillors from our three Councils, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling and is led by Councillor Alan Nimmo the Board Convener.
The Board's main role is to scrutinise the work of the Service, ensure that the Service is working efficiently and effectively and the Board is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Fire Service and monitoring performance.
