Detailed description:
During the coming academic year 2007-2008, we will complete a full review of the curriculum framework, to include a wider range of curriculum enrichment activiites, including theme days and weeks, visits and visitors such as local authors and artists in residence. We also have themed weeks which we work on as a whole school with special visits and workshops to cater forall learning styles.We have a programme of residential visits for years 5 and 6 to Gorsefield Country House in Essex, where they complete a week of indoor and outdoor activities.We offer instrumental lessons and encourage children to join the school band or choir.There is a range of after-school activities such as ICT clubs, keep-fit, netball, football, cricket homework, games, French and recorder. We would like to develop these with cooking, gardening and clubs to develop other skills for life alongside staff and the local community. Outside organisations run soccer training with Millwall Football Club.
