CASTLE COTTAGES

Short profile:

These two cottages are off the market square and overlook the little stream in Helmsley on the edge of the breathtakingly beautiful North York Moors. They are stonebuilt with beamed ceilings and open fires. At the back they share a sunny courtyard, here you can breakfast and contemplate the ruins of the 12th century castle rising above your walled garden. Your rooms have been individually designed with flair and attention to detail.

Detailed description:

Sleeps 8. Fight it out as to who has the four-poster, the Queen-sized bed or the twins and choose between a view of the stream or the castle. Two bathrooms, farmhouse style kitchen, sitting room with original ceiling, comfortable chairs round a magnificent stone fireplace (ready for a real log fire) and a piano.

Sleeps 2 adults & 2 children. This pretty little cottage is off the road and opens onto the courtyard, ideal for a family with young children. The upstairs sitting room has a beamed ceiling and wonderful views of the castle. One stylish double bedroom and a bunk bed room!

This cottage has private parking.

    Our stay at the Castle Cottages was just amazing. I loved the view, the surroundings and I am ready to return at all time. It was really one of the best vacations we’ve ever taken. I recommend it!

    The attention to detail in designing these cute cottages is simply overwhelming. They are made from stone so it was really warm and cozy inside. The cottage we stayed was overlooking the little Helmsley stream. I rather choose a self catering holiday then just choosing a stiff hotel service.

    We booked them in the spring time with a couple of friends. The weather was nice, we had a lot of fun making bbq outside the pation, thanks to all the self catering facilities the cottages offer. The owners are really nice people, we had a warm welcome.

    The Orchard cottage we booked last year looked great. We went with the kids for 5 days and we loved it. The kids had a lot of fun as well. We had a super comfy bed and all the self catering equipment we could think of. SO no need for extra packing.

    The cottages look absolutely phenomenal. We stayed in the Osbourne cottage last summer. The view of the castle is breathtaking. With 2 bathrooms, a farmhouse like kitchen I could not resist cooking my special chicken roast. The self catering facilities really came in handy!
