Short profile:

CASA design is pleased to present the successful realization of several recent residential projects in Ayrshire as illustrated on the gallery pages within this website.

Chris Stewart of CASA design was asked along by the ‘Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland’ as a guest architect at the recent ‘Homes and Interiors Scotland 2006 Exhibition’ at the SECC in Glasgow and hopes to follow this up with a further appearance the 2007 exhibition.

CASA design are, once again, participating in the ‘Architect in the House’ scheme organized by the RIAS each year. This scheme allows home owners to be matched with a RIBA registered chartered architect for an hour’s consultation on design improvements to their home. In return, the home-owner makes a small donation to Shelter, the housing and homeless charity.

Detailed description:

The practice of CASA Design Architecture was established in 2003 by Chris Stewart, initially working from home, specializing in high quality design of smaller residential projects in Ayrshire. CASA Design is based in Ayr and is affiliated with an architectural practice in Glasgow.

We are involved in both small private residential projects in Ayrshire and larger commercial projects throughout Scotland. However we concentrate predominantly on providing an easy to use, customer friendly service to homeowners looking to extend or alter their properties.

Chris has several years experience as a Chartered Architect since qualifying from the Mackintosh School of Architecture with honours at the University of Glasgow in 1988. He has worked in both the UK, for Sir Norman Foster and Partners and abroad on a large variety of commercial, educational and residential projects and is a member of the following professional bodies:- RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects), RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland), ARB (Architects Registration Board) and APS (Association of Project Safety).

Chris also has experience of many private projects for individual homeowners, which made him realize that the traditional architect's working method did not always measure up to the needs of the individual homeowner. As such, Chris ensures that CASA design always endeavour to clearly set out and agree the exact architectural services required by a householder at the outset. This allows his customers to keep control of what they want to achieve with their project and how much they want to spend in order to allow the various skills of an architect to be utilized for domestic projects as required at an affordable price.
