Detailed description:

Waste water must only pass through the foul sewer and not the surface water sewer, otherwise there is the chance that rivers and streams may be polluted.

It is important that foul waste from properties is properly connected to the foul sewer only.

If, under any circumstances, foul water communicates with the public surface water sewer, there is the potential to pollute rivers or watercourses to which the surface water outfalls. It is therefore strongly advised that the purchaser ensures that the property’s foul drains are properly connected to the foul sewer.
