Short profile:

Carolyn Abbott is a textile designer of felted textiles in striking colours, handfelted using an exciting variety of colourways and textures, creating subtle, lightweight fabrics or cosy, felted woollens.

Detailed description:

Carolyn is currently working for the Museum of Domestic Art and Architecture (MoDA) at Middlesex University running textiles workshops for their Arts Club. And, inspired by the collections at MoDA, running the MoDA Feltmaking Project for Year 7 pupils at East Barnet Secondary School

Her work is being exhibited at Lesley Craze Gallery, Clerkenwell London EC1, and she has recently completed projects for the fashion labels Luella, Lezley George and film costume company, Academy (animated film "The Spiderwick Chronicles").

Her range of handmade and individual textiles have been exhibited at several leading shows:

Contemporary Textiles Fair, 2006 Country Living Christmas Fair, 2005
