Our experienced and versatile operatives are able to provide a complete solution to all wood-finishing requirements. For example; doors, staircases, panelling, furniture, counter-tops, flooring and exterior wooden surfaces. It may be that your existing woodwork is is fairly sound, but would benefit from a 'clean and revive' treatment, whereby the surfaces are washed down and a film of french polish is applied. Or for surfaces that have degraded to the point where they may need more attention, the full 'strip and re-polish' process may be more appropriate.
Detailed description:
This entails the surfaces being stripped back to bare timber, bleached if necessary (to remove any stains that might have penetrated the wood) and then a new finish applied. The colour and degree of gloss / matt can be adjusted to conform to the client's requirements. Of course we could undertake any new doors or other items of new joinery that may have been installed, giving the client some control over the colour and finish of the pieces. We have worked at many prestigious buildings in London and the south-east, including; St Paul's Cathedral, Asprey, Liberty, Harrods, Rothschilds, Dorton House (Sevenoaks), Crosby Hall (Chelsea) and the Royal Institute of British Architects.
