Short profile:

Carelink Healthcare believes that the best nursing and domiciliary care start with the best people. This approach reflects the fact that Carelink Healthcare is run by healthcare professionals - trained nursing staff with many years' experience, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Detailed description:

Carelink Healthcare provides a wide range of cost-effective, home care solutions. Care and support is available from an hour a day to 24 hours, depending on the needs of the individual. This care and support is available to help people at home in a number of situations:

care at home for older people

care and support for people with physical disabilities

care for people with mental health problems

care for people with sensory loss including dual sensory impairment

care for people with learning disabilities

care for people with terminal illness

palliative care to ease symptoms

respite care for personal or family carers

light domestic tasks

provision of nurses and carers to the community, hospitals, nursing and residential homes

Working closely with the Care Quality Commission, the NHS and Social Services, Carelink Healthcare team will develop a care plan with the individual and their carers, following an assessment of the person's needs. This plan will be reviewed regularly and updated to reflect any changes in circumstances, ensuring that the most appropriate care is delivered at any time. All of this is supported by a 24-hour call out service, which means that a nurse is always on hand at any time of the day or night. This gives the individual and their carers peace of mind.

Personal care and support is provided in a way which always respects and maintains the dignity, privacy and lifestyle of the person receiving care, with particular regard to assisting with:

dressing and undressing

toilet and continence requirements

bathing, washing, shaving and oral hygiene

medication requirements and other health-related activities

manual handling and lifting

eating and meal preparation

handling personal possessions and documents

Carelink Healthcare's approach means that people are treated with respect and courtesy at all times.
