KEY STATEMENT: Canterbury Cross Primary School is committed to providing a range of activities for children both as part of the daily curriculum entitlement and as extra-curricular activities. Curriculum Activities Children take part in at least 2 hrs of sport a week - this may be with their class teacher or with a visiting specialist All children have the opportunity to learn to swim in Y3 and Y4 School Council Lunch-time club Opportunites to work with artists and actors Visits to places of interest to support curricular work bringing subjects alive for children Extra-curricular Activities We have a range of sporting activites including: badminton at which the school achieves competative success; netball; basketball and football -at the Villa Academy Cultural events and performances  School library is open after school for children to change their library books or to complete homework Birmingham Music Service teach brass instrument lessons in school Residential visit to Woodlands Camp/Bell Heath for Y6 pupils.
