Canford Heath First School is one of the largest first schools in the
country with over 450 children, aged 4 years to 8 years, currently on roll.
The school is located to the north of Poole in Dorset.

Detailed description:
The school provides a wide range of activities. The curriculum is enhanced by theatre groups, drama and dance specialists, musicians and storytellers. Visits are arranged to a variety of places including museums, art galleries, farms, activity centres, the local library, supermarkets and the beach.
Children take part in an exciting and motivating, active curriculum that incoporates all areas of learning
The school has been awarded the Activemark- every child is able to access 2 hours of high quality PE and physical activities and take part in a Sports Day.
Children participate in a variety of extra curricular activities provided both by staff and external organisations. These include choir, recorders, dance, art, football, tennis, ball skills, French, School Council, cooking, music and movement, tag rugby, safety. Some of the clubs involve working with children from other schools.
