Short profile:
The Peterborough based Cambridge Safety Partnership was set up by husband and wife team, Paul and Jackie Cambridge in 1999. Its purpose is to help the business sector to keep within the bounds of current health and safety legislation and to improve the overall standards of safety. We now have a team of five H&S specialists providing a full range of health and safety consultancy and training.
Cambridge Safety is accredited by the National Examination Board of Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) to run its General Certificate, Level 6 Diploma, the Specialist Environmental Diploma, Environmental Certificate and Construction Certificate qualifications plus the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) Managing Safely, Managing with Environmental Responsibilities and Directing Safety programmes. Our pass rates are well over the national average for all courses. We are Corporate members of IOSH and the International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM).
Detailed description:
Our team has won national awards from IOSH for Risk Management and the Health and Safety Commission and for an European H&S week initiative. Cambridge Safety also reached a shortlist of 50 from over 2, 000 projects put forward for the "Back to work campaign" promoted by the HSE and Department of Health. We are the company that many H&S consultants send their employees to for formal training and to achieve nationally recognized H&S qualifications.
We run a full range of in-house and open courses including short one day courses on issues such as risk assessments and practical manual handling to longer accredited courses including those from Nebosh and IOSH. We provide a quality service with pass rates well in excess of national averages.
All our courses are highly informative and include practical exercises plus a comprehensive set of handouts including the latest HSE publications where applicable. We recommend a maximum of 14 delegates to ensure an effective amount of tutor delegate interaction.
All our trainers are practising health and safety professionals to ensure that any training given is both presented professionally and with an emphasis on the practical application of good safety practice.
The environment has arrived! It is no longer just the air we breath or the world we live in, it has become a requirement for businesses to address the environment in order to maintain customers and exist [thrive] in an ever more critical global economy.
There is an ever-increasing amount of new environment related legislation and protocols all of which aids the global environment for our fellow citizens. Environmental management systems can assist an organisation to meet its increasingly heavy burden of responsibility for the future condition of the world environment. In many cases, the introduction of an environmental management system can aid cost savings and reduce our environmental liability.
