Established in 1989, Calico Pie has evolved from a small family craft business to a supplier of craft items by mail order throughout the UK, and increasingly overseas. Our experience in selecting and purchasing materials, combined with an enduring enthusiasm for finding a creative use for just about anything, inspires us to search out more and more new and interesting products.
We supply many items from well known names like DMC, Letraset, Kars, Impex, Dufex, Craftime, Pinflair, Fiskars, Mill Hill, Hemline, Berwick Offray etc., and also lots of those hard to find crafty bits and pieces. Our range, including kits, patterns and publications, is constantly expanding.
The most frequently asked question is where did we get our name? The answer is that it comes from a nonsense verse by Edward Lear (1812-1888), who, remembered for his linguistic inventiveness and fantasies, was also an artist who illustrated his own works.
