The Calcot Hotel is situated just a few minutes level walk from the pedestrianised shopping centre, buses and coach trips.
A short walk through Shelley Park with its tennis courts and childrens play area, leads to the Cliff tops with views of the Isle of Wight to the Purbecks. Zig zag paths leading to down to the 7 miles of safe sandy beaches.
In addition to its seven miles of Blue Flag winning sandy beaches Bournemouth boasts over 2000 acres of Green Flag awarded parks and gardens.
In the town centre discover the restored Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum, the Ocenarium, or perhaps "shop til you drop". On the borders of Dorset and Hampshire and within easy reach of Wiltshire, Bournemouth is ideally positioned to visit Weymouth, Corfe Castle, Poole, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Christchurch, The New Forest and Beaulieu to name just a few.
