Business Skills is the employer training arm of Stourbridge College offering a wide range of training courses and advice for people who are keen to improve their career prospects, build on their professional development or get back into work through training. As well as being a market leader in training for Health & Safety, including IOSH and NEBOSH, Business Skills offers a range of apprenticeships, NVQs and gas and electric courses. Business Skills is a Patron of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and was one of the first colleges in the region to be accredited with the Training Quality Standard.

Detailed description:

Covering the Black Country and wider West Midlands, Business Skills was set up in 2007 to focus on providing training for local businesses and employers and works with over 1, 000 local employers in the region including Carillion, Westfield, Debenhams, Rymans, Calor Gas, Calor Force and Worcester Bosch, Group. Employing 50 people based in Kidderminster, there’s a professional Business Development Team on hand to give advice and guidance. Business Skills recognises that developing the potential of your staff is key to business success.

Training and workforce development gives employers an all important edge to compete locally, regionally and nationally. We provide a ‘one stop shop’ to meet individual and business needs by providing access to our complete portfolio of courses and support including a range of one day workshops to help your business progress.

We listen and respond to your individual needs, from core skills training in order to meet industry requirements, to more specific courses.
