Detailed description:
We offer a wide range of activities. This includes French, music tuition (brass, woodwind, guitars and violins and cello) and many sports. Our children are also pro-active in organising their own activities (for example, drawing competitions).
We are part of the Barrow Extended Schools Team (BEST) which provide a range of activities for the children.
We support our pupils by showcasing their talents, for example, in music evenings and drama productions. We also take part in activities such as "sing up".
Burton continues to provide children in key stage 2 the opportunity to represent their school in sporting activities such as cross country; football; netball; badminton; tennis; rounders and swimming.
We recognise and encourage out-of-school achievements of our pupils by acknowledging them in our assemblies and newsletter.
We organise great residential trips and one-day activities that underpin the curriculum.
