Short profile:

At Burnham-on-Sea Community Infant School we aim to create a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school can grow in self esteem and develop their potential as human beings. We are a very successful school. In June 2009 this was reflected in an ‘Outstanding’ judgement from Ofsted. We are constantly working on ways to enrich the experiences we offer our pupils.

We have the National Standard ‘Basic Skills Mark’, Healthy Schools Status, and the Active Mark for sports and physical activity. All these awards confirm that our curriculum meets good practice standards and that we are committed to raising standards in teaching and learning. We are also working on our Healthy Schools Plus award and Eco-Schools Status.

You will find our staff team professional, approachable and supportive.
