Offering both privacy and seclusion, each room at the Burn How can be found within the grounds of the hotel surrounded by rich and colourful gardens.
Facilities in the main house include a cosy lounge where you can relax with the papers or sink into a good book. For those who need to keep in touch with the office while away, complimentary wireless internet access is also available.
Relax in the comfort of a room in The Lodge, just across from the main house, or overlook our colourful gardens from a modern chalet style Garden Room.
We also have four ground floor Rose Garden Rooms behind the main house with direct access onto the rose garden patio.

All of our rooms offer ensuite accommodation just a short walk from the centre of Bowness and Lake Windermere. Rooms have their own individual parking space, and most have a private sun balcony.
The Mews Room & The Bay Room are in a detached bungalow within the hotel grounds. Both offer extra space and privacy and they each have a luxury bathroom.
The Burn How Restaurant offers a varied menu using local produce with flavours from around the world.
Taste the best in modern cuisine from our single rosette restaurant, featuring the freshest locally sourced produce including Yew Tree Farm Herdwick lamb, Plumgarths Cumberland Sausage and Belted Galloway Beef.
At the end of the day relax with family or friends in the congenial atmosphere of the lounge and bar, before enjoying an evening meal. After your meal you can relax in the comfortable lounge and bar area where coffee can be served.
