Short profile:
Children are encouraged to take part in all activities which range from: drama, football, tag rugby, swimming, ball skills, bird watching, cooking, singing, recorder, cycling proficiency, craft, netball, revision clubs, and cinema club. The costs involved are kept low in order to encourage all children to take part.
Unlike some primary schools our school organises residential trips for the children. The children went to Wells Field Study Centre this year. More residential trips are to be arranged for next year. Day trips included - Theatre Royal (Hamlet); Strangers Hall Museum; Countback Kids; West Stow Anglo Saxon Village; Time & Tide Museum, Gt Yarmouth; Bunwell Woods and a day trip to Boulogne. The school prides itself on an inclusive policy and funding is available to help parents if needed.
The school takes part in activities in other schools eg; Arts Day at Old Buckenham High School.
Children are allowed to fundraise for causes important to them. A "Denim for Diabetes" day organised by a pupil raised £50. The after school Art Club is well attended and children requested this continue running.
The school organises an arts week where local artists come in and work with the children.
